What we do together, makes a difference
Saturday, July 13, 3 – 6:30 pm
Shubert Alley, NYC
Broadway Barks, the star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies, will return for its 21st edition this summer.
The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will again take place in Shubert Alley. Festivities begin at 3 pm and celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters begin after 5 pm.
Broadway Barks, founded by Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters, will help many of New York City’s shelter animals find permanent homes by informing New Yorkers about the plight of the thousands of “homeless” dogs and cats in the metropolitan area.
Celebrities scheduled to appear and participating shelters will be announced in the coming weeks.
The event is free. Funds raised from a raffle, silent auction, signed memorabilia sales and donations are distributed to the participating shelters and rescue groups.
