Broadway Barks, the beloved, star-studded dog and cat adoption event supporting New York City animal shelters and rescue organizations, returns this summer for its 28th edition.
For one tail-wagging day, Broadway’s brightest stars will spotlight adoptable pets searching for loving homes and their happily-ever-afters.
The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will again take place in Shubert Alley. Festivities begin at 3 pm and celebrity presentations of pets from 24 animal shelters begin after 5 pm. It will be hosted by the legendary Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, co-founder of Broadway Barks, and Andrew Rannells, a two-time Tony nominee and celebrated star of stage and screen.

Celebrity guests and shelter participants are subject to change.
Broadway Barks, founded by Mary Tyler Moore and Peters, helps New York City shelter animals find permanent homes by informing New Yorkers about the plight of the thousands of dogs and cats in the metropolitan area in need of rescue.
The event is free. Funds raised from a silent auction, signed memorabilia sales and donations are distributed to the participating shelters and rescue groups.
