While the reasons people volunteer here are as varied as their ages and backgrounds, they all have at least two things in common – they love the theatre and they want to help men, women and children with HIV/AIDS.

As a fundraising organization which is essentially event driven, we have no regularly scheduled volunteer sessions. Instead, we bring in “the troops” as needed. Volunteers help with mailings, flyer and poster distribution, ushering, program stuffing and distribution as well as picking up donated merchandise and collecting contributions around the city.

We also have a special volunteer program called the Bucket Brigade. Bucket Brigade volunteers serve as representatives of Broadway Cares at the post-show collections that occur for six weeks, twice a year.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is lucky to have the support of our invaluable army of volunteers. We truly couldn’t accomplish what we do without them.
