Benevolent Bowlers Score Big at Up Our Alley

Performing arts, financial, media and pharmaceutical professionals joined forces at the 19th annual edition of Up Our Alley to raise $113,137 for Classical Action, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

More than 130 participants spent six weeks raising money by encouraging friends, family and co-workers to donate to Up Our Alley. The bowlers gathered November 13 at Bowlmor Chelsea Piers to celebrate their fundraising success with some friendly competition.

Among the participants, the team from Morgan Stanley raised the most money with an impressive $18,657. The top individual fundraiser was Classical Action’s founding director, Charlie Hamlen, with $16,663. The runner-up was Carl Mulert from Local USA 829 with an incredible $11,756.

Since 1999, the 18 editions of Up Our Alley have raised more than $2.1 million.
