Broadway Run 2017
Saturday, November 4, 8:30 am
Midtown Manhattan, NY
Hit the ground running by joining our Broadway Run team for the New York Road Runners Dash to the Finish Line 5K. For the third year, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will gather a team of runners and walkers to join Broadway stars and theatre fans to raise money to help those in need in NY and across the country.
Experience the TCS New York City Marathon without having to run 26.2 miles. The Dash to the Finish Line is a 3.1-mile walk or run through the streets of Manhattan that ends at the famed marathon finish line in Central Park. The run is set for Saturday, November 4.
All donations are 100 percent tax deductible and the minimum fundraising goal for each team member is $200. Team members who reach the goal will receive a special edition Broadway Run T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top three fundraisers.
To join our team please register as an individual runner on the NYRR official website. When it asks for your team affiliation please select unattached. Then forward your registration confirmation email to runwithus@broadwaycares.org. We will contact you directly to help you setup your individual fundraising page.
Join us in making a difference for tens of thousands of people in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. Your support helps those in need receive lifesaving medications, health care, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance. What we do together truly makes a difference.
We will be meeting at 7:45 am outside of Le Pain Quotidien located at 937 2nd Avenue between 49th and 50th St. We will take our pre-race group photo, hand out any additional T-shirts, and as a team we will all walk to the start line together.
Once you’ve finished the race there will be a reception for the Broadway Run Team in the lower area of Strawberry Fields at 72nd Street and Central Park West. When you finish the race keep going straight along the main path and the reception will be on your left at the bottom of the hill. There will be a sandwich board sign saying Congratulations Broadway Run to help point you in the right direction.
Everyone will run or walk the race at their own pace :)
