If you’d like to invite people to buy tickets:
Hi __,
[Personal note.]
I want to invite you to something near and dear to me. I’ve joined the host committee for a spectacular event called Broadway Backwards, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and New York City’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.
Broadway Backwards is the only Broadway event uniquely designed for the LGBTQ+ community and our friends and allies. I would love to have you join me by attending the performance on Monday, March 13. Broadway Backwards features more than two dozen Broadway stars in a stunning musical production where love is love. I hope you’ll join me for this touching and moving (and often hilarious!) show of community and love. But rather than simply trusting my word, feel free to take a look at highlights from last year’s performance: https://youtu.be/puHpI08bU2g.
Because I’m a member of the Host Committee, my friends have exclusive access to the best seats prior to tickets going on sale to the public. I hope you’ll join me by purchasing tickets; if you purchase at the $550 level or above, you will also receive access to the exclusive post-performance reception.
To get early access to tickets, visit broadwaycares.org/backwards2023tickets Be sure to select my name as the Host Committee member who invited you when you purchase tickets.
If you are unable to attend, you can still make a lifesaving difference by donating to my personal fundraising page at [add your link to the email]. Donations above $250 will receive exclusive access to video footage from the show that will not be shared publicly, and donations of $500 or above will receive private access to a full taping of the show!
I hope you will join me and help these two vital and deserving organizations.
All the best,
[Your name]
P.S. Here are a few examples of what your support through a ticket purchase will make possible:
- $285 provides access to medical care for 6 people
- $550 provides 275 home-delivered meals
- $1,100 provides a family’s meals for 5 months
