Fashion In Motion
With the international fashion elite sitting under the Bryant Park tents just a few blocks away,IN New York will celebrate city style with “Fashion in Motion“, a charity star-studded fashion show and silent auction on Thursday, September 19, 2002. Held in conjunction with the magazine’s September 2002 ‘Fashion and Home’ issue, “Fashion in Motion” will begin at 7 p.m. in the Penthouse at the Rihga Royal Hotel. Tickets start at $65, with proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
A breath-taking view of Central Park and the New York City skyline will greet more than 300 guests, who will enjoy cocktails and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres with live entertainment. The evening will begin in a clubby lounge, furnished by respected home decor retailers, with a private VIP reception. Broadway performers and others from the modeling industry will then showcase the season’s most head-turning fashions and accessories from some of the city’s most renowned designers, jewelers, and retailers. The evening will also include an extensive silent auction, highlighted by a raffle through which one guest will win a Baume & Mercier watch, plus the opportunity to try the combination on a lock box to win $10,000 in additional gifts from Wempe Jewelers.
