Jersey Boys Fans United To Support BC/EFA
October 21, 2007
“Oh What A Night” it was on Sunday, October 21, 2007, when more than 250 of the most dedicated Jersey Boys fans along with the Tony-Award® winning cast packed the Top of the View on the 49th Floor of the Marriott Marquis high atop Times Square with its extraordinary 360-degree view of the entire city of New York.
The event raised over $40,000 for BC/EFA.
Produced by BC/EFA at the very good suggestion of Irene Eizen, “Jersey Boys’ fan extraordinaire,” this once-in-a-lifetime evening was billed as an “exclusive cocktail party,” and featured the opportunity to meet face to face and have a conversation with the original Jersey Boys cast: Tony Award® winner John Lloyd Young, Tony Award® winner Christian Hoff, Daniel Reichard and J. Robert Spencer.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres along with the chance to “schmooze” with the rest of the cast, as well as silent and live auctions of rare autographed one-of-a-kind Jersey Boys memorabilia completed the evening.
An unexpected bonus for the fans included a surprise appearance by the legendary members of The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio and Tommy DeVito along with Joe Long (bass guitarist).
Rick Elice & Marshall Brickman – book writers for the Broadway show – also were on hand, as was vocal coach Katie Agresta, who has helped cast members from the Broadway show and touring productions recreate the distinctive Four Seasons sound since their opening night at Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre on November 6, 2005.
The evening was sponsored by Eisner, LLP along with media partners New York’s 106.7 FM andBroadwayworld.com.
